Spencer Pumpelly will again team up with TPC Racing and driver John Littlechild for this week’s Paul Revere 250 in Daytona Beach Florida.
In the last round of the Grand Am Rolex Sportscar Series, Pumpelly and Littlechild teamed up with Bill Adam for a second place finish in the six-hour race at Watkins Glen. The driving trio helped TPC racing capture a 1-2 finish as the team car of Andy Lally and Mark Bunting won the race. This week’s race will hopefully provide another trip to the podium for the TPC team.
The Paul Revere 250 from Daytona International Speedway is unusual in that the race is run during the NASCAR Nextel Cup event. Practice for the 250 begins on Wednesday and the race itself starts at the conclusion of Nextel Cup qualifying Thursday night. Typically the Nextel Cup drivers are off the track just before 11:00pm so look for the green flag to fly just after the hour. The race is live on Speed Channel all the way through to the late finish. Hopefully the Rolex Series drivers will be able to stay awake.
