Zip racing was the fastest qualifier in today's rain soaked session. A quick first lap allowed Spencer to get a good time in before rains became heavier and the track began to puddle. The Zip Porsche qualified faster than even the Sports Racers, but Grand Am determined that the Sports Racers session was not run under equal conditions and decided to grid the prototypes ahead of the GT car. So much for the overall pole.
